What Is The Te Waka Parepareā Trust
We are the Te Waka Parepareā Trust, responsible for ensuring the delivery and quality of this unique land navigation programme – He Waka Parepareā Ana: Navigating Whenua Māori.
The programme was designed and created from a dream in 2015 by Joeann Walters to assist whānau to navigate the Māori Land Court processes with a view to reconnect whānau with their whenua, whakapapa and narratives as contained within the Māori Land Court records to realise whānau dreams and aspirations for their whenua. Joeann Walters with a hand – picked team started to deliver this new dynamic programme in 2016 and continued to do so up until 2022 under our new structure – Te Waka Parepareā Trust.
